About This Trail

Alum Cove Natural Bridge is one of the largest natural bridges in the Ozarks, spanning 130 feet across a sandstone canyon. The easy loop trail descends into a lush hollow where small waterfalls trickle over fern-covered rocks before arriving at the impressive bridge arching overhead. The massive formation creates a natural amphitheater effect, and the trail passes through and beneath the bridge for multiple perspectives. This family-friendly hike rewards visitors with dramatic geology accessible to all ages.
