About This Trail
The Sipsey Fork area of Bankhead National Forest is known as the Land of a Thousand Waterfalls. This trail follows the Sipsey Fork through deep sandstone canyons, passing numerous waterfalls and swimming holes. The old-growth forest contains some of the largest trees in Alabama.
Getting There
From Double Springs, AL, take AL-33 south to County Road 6. Follow signs to the Sipsey Recreation Area.
