Bayou Cocodrie Refuge Extension

This extension continues beyond the main Bayou Cocodrie Trail deeper into the refuge’s bottomland hardwood forest. Larger trees, quieter surroundings, and increased wildlife activity reward those who venture onto this less-traveled section. The trail passes through areas favored by wintering woodcock and provides excellent habitat for neotropical migrant songbirds.
