About This Trail
Beartown State Park features one of the most unusual landscapes in West Virginia - a half-mile boardwalk winding through massive Droop sandstone boulders, deep crevices, and overhanging rock formations covered in thick moss and ferns.
Getting There
From Hillsboro, WV, take US-219 south for about 7 miles. Turn right onto Beartown Road (WV-2) and continue to the park entrance.
