About This Trail
This section of the Florida National Scenic Trail traverses the heart of Big Cypress National Preserve through cypress domes, dwarf cypress prairies, and hardwood hammocks. The trail can involve waist-deep water crossings depending on the season, making it a true wilderness adventure. Getting There
From Miami, take US-41 (Tamiami Trail) west approximately 50 miles. Multiple trailheads are located along the highway.
