About This Trail
This extensive trail system in De Soto National Forest offers multiple loops ranging from 5 to 11 miles through scenic longleaf pine forests. While designed primarily for equestrian use, hikers are welcome and will find the wide, well-maintained trails easy to navigate. The system’s multiple loops allow hikers to customize their distance, and the peaceful pine forests provide consistent scenic interest throughout.
Getting There
From Perkinston, take MS-67 north approximately 4 miles to FR-369. Turn east and continue 2 miles to the Big Foot Horse Trail staging area. Trail maps are available at the information kiosk.
