About This Trail
Penetrating deep into the Black Creek Wilderness, this primitive trail offers genuine wilderness immersion in south Mississippi. The route follows the creek through diverse habitats, with minimal trail improvements that reward self-reliant hikers with solitude and natural beauty. Backpackers find excellent primitive camping on sandbars along the creek.
Getting There
From Wiggins, take MS-29 south approximately 20 miles to the Black Creek Wilderness boundary. Limited parking is available at the wilderness access point off FR-374.
