About This Trail
Blackwater Falls is a stunning 57-foot waterfall where the Blackwater River plunges over a sandstone ledge. The water appears dark amber due to tannic acid from fallen hemlock and red spruce needles upstream. A boardwalk trail leads to multiple overlooks.
Getting There
From Davis, WV, take WV-32 south for about 2 miles. Turn left at the Blackwater Falls State Park entrance and follow signs to the falls.
