Blackwater River Trail

The Blackwater River Trail follows the gentle Blackwater River through the wetlands and meadows of Canaan Valley, offering a peaceful nature walk with excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. The trail passes through open meadows, alongside beaver ponds, and through aspen groves, providing diverse habitats in a short distance. The dark, tea-colored river meanders slowly through the valley, reflecting the surrounding forests and mountains.
