About This Trail

A 1.4-mile gorge loop featuring Brandywine Falls, a 60-foot cascade over layered sandstone and shale that is the tallest waterfall in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Boardwalks and stairs provide access to upper and lower viewing platforms, with the surrounding gorge rich in fern-covered slopes and mixed hardwood.

Getting There

From Akron, take I-77 north to I-271 north, then exit onto Brandywine Road. Park at 8176 Brandywine Road, Northfield. The Gorge Trail descends from the upper boardwalk overlook into the ravine.
