About This Trail
This trail explores the grounds of Magnolia Plantation, where original Creole buildings including the main house, slave quarters, and agricultural structures tell the story of Louisiana’s plantation era. The path passes through grounds shaded by massive magnolias and live oaks, providing a contemplative walk through a significant cultural landscape.
Getting There
From Natchitoches, take LA-1 south approximately 12 miles to Magnolia Plantation entrance on the left. Park at the visitor lot and begin the trail at the park orientation area.
