About This Trail
Deep in the Bankhead National Forest, Caney Creek Falls requires a moderate 3-mile hike through one of Alabama’s most scenic wilderness areas. The 30-foot falls spill into a pristine pool, perfect for cooling off on hot summer days. The surrounding Sipsey Wilderness is Alabama’s largest wilderness area and offers countless additional hiking opportunities.
Getting There
From Double Springs, AL, take AL-33 south to CR-6. Turn right and continue to the Sipsey Wilderness trailhead.
