About This Trail
This trail circles Upper Caney Lake through pine forest with frequent views across the smaller, quieter of the two Caney Lakes. The path is level and well-maintained, perfect for a relaxed nature walk or easy jog. Fishing access points along the route allow hikers to try for bass and bream, and the peaceful setting attracts a variety of forest birds.
Getting There
From Caney Lakes Recreation Area main entrance, follow signs toward Upper Caney Lake. The trailhead is at the small boat launch parking area on the lake's east side.
