CCC Camp Trail
Loop through massive rock formations in Tishomingo State Park.
About This Trail
Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, this trail showcases the remarkable stone craftsmanship of that era while exploring Tishomingo State Park’s unique landscape of massive boulders, fern-filled crevices, and small waterfalls. The route passes through gaps between house-sized rocks and along bluff lines where the Appalachian foothills create terrain found nowhere else in Mississippi. The CCC’s careful stonework blends seamlessly with the natural features, creating a trail that honors both nature and history.
