About This Trail

Cedar Falls is the crown jewel of Petit Jean State Park, a stunning 95-foot cascade that ranks among the most photographed natural features in Arkansas. The trail descends via stone switchbacks built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, passing through a lush forest of ferns, mosses, and wildflowers before emerging at the base of the falls. A misty pool invites visitors to cool off on hot days, and the surrounding canyon walls create a cathedral-like atmosphere. The trail is especially magical after rain when the falls run at full force.
