About This Trail
The Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge protects pristine spring-fed waterways and coastal marshes. The river trail passes numerous springs bubbling up from the aquifer. Manatees, otters, and diverse bird species are commonly seen.
Getting There
From Homosassa, FL, take US-19 south to CR-480 (Miss Maggie Drive). Follow to the Chassahowitzka River Campground and launch.
