About This Trail

Chickasabogue Park provides an accessible natural escape for Mobile area residents, with trails winding through coastal plain forest along scenic Chickasabogue Creek. The Indian Trail follows the creek through diverse habitats, from bottomland hardwoods to upland pine forests, with interpretive signs explaining the area’s natural and human history. The creek supports diverse aquatic life, and wildlife sightings are common along the quiet trails. The park’s developed facilities include a disc golf course, playgrounds, and picnic areas, making it a versatile destination for families. While less dramatic than Alabama’s mountain trails, Chickasabogue offers pleasant forest hiking in the heart of coastal Alabama.
