About This Trail

Circle B Bar Reserve offers one of Central Florida’s finest wildlife viewing experiences on a former cattle ranch now managed for conservation. The extensive trail system traverses diverse habitats including freshwater marshes, oak hammocks, pine flatwoods, and the shores of Lake Hancock. The reserve is renowned for its accessible alligator viewing—dozens of large gators bask along the trails—along with abundant wading birds, bald eagles, bobcats, and wild pigs. The Alligator Alley boardwalk provides safe passage through prime gator habitat, while longer trails explore more remote areas. Early morning visits offer the best wildlife activity and cooler temperatures. This is essential Florida hiking that showcases the state’s remarkable biodiversity.
