About This Trail

The Cliffside Trail at Twin Falls Resort State Park loops through rocky terrain and dense rhododendron thickets, offering views into the forested canyon below. The trail follows the canyon rim, passing sandstone outcrops and through narrow passages between boulders. Several viewpoints provide glimpses of the waterfalls and the confluence of the two streams that give the park its name. The rhododendrons bloom spectacularly in late spring, creating a tunnel of pink and white flowers. This moderately challenging trail rewards hikers with diverse scenery and a sense of the rugged terrain that characterizes southern West Virginia.
