About This Trail
Coker Creek Falls Trail leads to a beautiful waterfall in an area rich with gold mining history. The falls cascade approximately 20 feet over a rock ledge into a deep pool, with the surrounding area showing evidence of past mining activities. Coker Creek was the site of the first gold rush in the Southeast during the 1820s, and interpretive signs explain this fascinating history. The trail passes through mixed forest recovering from past disturbance, with interesting historical artifacts visible along the way. The pool below the falls is popular for swimming during summer months.
