About This Trail
Crabtree Falls is the highest vertical-drop cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River, with a total drop of over 1,200 feet through a series of five major cascades. The trail climbs steeply alongside the falls with multiple overlooks providing stunning views of each cascade.
Getting There
From Charlottesville, VA, take the Blue Ridge Parkway south to VA-56. Head east on VA-56 for approximately 6 miles to the Crabtree Falls parking area on the left.
