About This Trail
Dark Hollow Falls is one of the most popular waterfalls in Shenandoah National Park, dropping 70 feet over ancient greenstone cliffs. The trail descends quickly through a lush forest of hemlocks and hardwoods to multiple viewing areas at the base of the falls.
Getting There
From Thornton Gap Entrance Station, drive south on Skyline Drive to milepost 50.7. The trailhead is at the parking area on the east side of the road.
