About This Trail
This shorter loop within the Rattlesnake Bay trail system offers a quick taste of the longleaf pine flatwoods without the full commitment of the longer route. The sandy trail winds through open pine forest where gopher tortoises and other flatwoods wildlife can be observed. Early morning visits provide the best wildlife viewing.
Getting There
From the Rattlesnake Bay main parking area off FR-374, the short loop branches from the main trail approximately 0.5 miles from the trailhead. Signs indicate the loop options.
