Falls Branch Falls Trail

Falls Branch Falls Trail leads to a beautiful waterfall on Falls Branch, a tributary of the Hiwassee River. The short trail descends through mixed hardwood forest to the falls, which cascades approximately 60 feet over a rock face. The pool at the base provides a scenic destination, though swimming is not recommended due to the rocky bottom. This short hike makes an excellent addition to a day exploring the Hiwassee River area, combining waterfall viewing with fishing or floating on the river. Spring and early summer bring peak water flow, while fall offers beautiful foliage framing the falls.
