About This Trail
Fossil Flats is a hand-built trail system offering stacked loops that allow hikers and mountain bikers to customize their route from 3 to 6 miles. The rocky terrain and flowing design create an engaging experience, with enough challenge to be interesting while remaining accessible to intermediate users. Named for the marine fossils visible in exposed limestone, the trail combines natural history with outdoor recreation.
Getting There
From Devil's Den State Park visitor center, take the main park road south approximately 1 mile. Turn left at the Fossil Flats trailhead sign and park in the designated lot. Trail maps are available at the information kiosk.
