About This Trail
Named for the tree stumps that once resembled gravestones after a devastating fire, Graveyard Fields has regenerated into a beautiful high-elevation valley. The loop trail visits two waterfalls—Upper Falls and Second Falls—with the Yellowstone Prong creating a scenic thread through the landscape. In late summer, wild blueberries dot the valley floor, drawing both hikers and black bears.
Getting There
On the Blue Ridge Parkway at Milepost 418.8, park at the Graveyard Fields Overlook.
