About This Trail

A 2.8-mile paved trail through Fort Harrison State Park, set on the grounds of a former military post established during World War I. The route winds through mature hardwood forest and two National Historic Districts, with gentle grades suitable for walking, jogging, and cycling near Indianapolis’s northeast side.

Getting There

From Indianapolis, take I-465 to the 56th Street exit and head east to Post Road, then north to Fort Harrison State Park at 5753 Glenn Road. The Harrison Trace Trail begins at the Delaware Lake picnic area.
