About This Trail
Ichetucknee Springs State Park protects one of Florida’s most pristine spring-fed rivers, with trails exploring the forested uplands and spring runs that create this natural treasure. While the park is famous for tubing the crystal-clear river, the trail system provides excellent hiking through diverse habitats including sandhills, hardwood hammocks, and spring environments. The Blue Hole Spring Trail leads to one of the park’s most impressive springs, a pool of impossibly blue water welling up from the limestone aquifer. The Trestle Point Trail follows the river through lush vegetation where turtles bask on logs and fish are visible in the clear water far below. These trails offer a quieter experience than the crowded tubing areas, revealing the park’s natural beauty.
