About This Trail
Kings Mountain preserves the site of a pivotal 1780 Revolutionary War battle. The trail loops around the ridge where American patriots defeated Loyalist forces, changing the course of the war in the South. Historical markers explain the battle’s significance.
Getting There
From Blacksburg, SC, take SC-216 south to Kings Mountain National Military Park. The battlefield trail begins at the visitor center.
