About This Trail
This brief trail leads to a two-story observation tower that provides spectacular panoramic views across the vast freshwater marsh pools of Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge. The elevated vantage point is ideal for spotting waterfowl concentrations during winter and scanning for alligators year-round. Bring binoculars or a spotting scope for the best experience.
Getting There
From the Lacassine NWR headquarters, follow the refuge road approximately 2 miles to the observation tower parking area on the left. The short trail leads directly to the tower base.
