About This Trail
This atmospheric loop trail winds through stands of bald cypress draped in Spanish moss along the scenic shore of Lake Bistineau. The serene setting offers constant water views and excellent opportunities to observe wading birds, turtles, and other wetland wildlife. Morning mist rising from the lake creates an especially magical atmosphere.
Getting There
From Lake Bistineau State Park entrance, take the first left toward the cypress camping area. The loop trail begins at the end of this road, with parking for approximately 8 vehicles.
