About This Trail

Lake Blue Ridge Trail offers an easy, family-friendly hike along the shores of one of north Georgia’s most scenic mountain lakes. The well-maintained path winds through mixed hardwood and pine forest, with frequent views of the lake’s clear blue waters framed by mountain ridges. Wildlife sightings are common, including deer, wild turkeys, and various songbirds, while the lake supports populations of bass, trout, and bream. The gentle terrain makes this ideal for families with young children or anyone seeking a relaxed nature walk in beautiful surroundings. The trail connects to the campground, allowing campers easy access to hiking opportunities.
