Lake Lurleen State Park Tashka Trail

Lake Lurleen State Park offers peaceful trails through the forested hills surrounding its namesake lake, providing an easy escape from nearby Tuscaloosa. The Tashka Trail, named using a Choctaw word meaning ‘warrior,’ circles through mixed pine and hardwood forest with frequent glimpses of the lake’s sparkling waters.
