About This Trail

Lakepoint State Park on Lake Eufaula offers peaceful trails through the diverse habitats of the Chattahoochee River valley. The trail system winds through forests of pine and hardwood, along the lake shore, and through wetland areas that support abundant wildlife. Lake Eufaula is renowned for its bass fishing and attracts numerous waterbirds, making this an excellent destination for bird watching. The gentle terrain is suitable for families, while the park’s resort facilities—including a lodge, golf course, and marina—make it easy to extend your stay. The lake’s 640 miles of shoreline provide constant visual interest, and sunset views from the trails are particularly spectacular.
