About This Trail
An 11-mile backpacking loop through ridge-and-hollow topography in Tar Hollow State Forest, with a fire tower at the trail’s high point on South Ridge Road offering long-distance views. The figure-eight layout allows flexible trip lengths through one of Ohio’s most remote pine-oak forests, with backcountry camps spaced along the route.
