About This Trail
This brief spur trail offers a convenient way for visitors driving the Longleaf Scenic Byway to stretch their legs with a quick forest walk. The path leads through representative longleaf pine habitat to a small clearing before looping back to the parking area. It’s a perfect leg-stretcher that provides a taste of the forest without a significant time commitment.
Getting There
Drive the Longleaf Scenic Byway (Forest Road 59) south from Longleaf Vista. The trail spur parking pullout is approximately 3 miles south on the right, marked with a small brown hiking sign.
