About This Trail

Scenic 5.7-mile route along an old railroad grade on the north slope of Spruce Knob in the Spruce Knob-Seneca Rocks National Recreation Area. Historic railroad ties and bridge footings remain from logging-era operations. Expect muddy conditions and rocky water crossings through dense Monongahela backcountry forest.

Getting There

From Seneca Rocks, take Forest Road 112 east approximately 4.5 miles past Spruce Knob Lake. The Lumberjack Trail trailhead is along the road in the Monongahela National Forest.
