Maryland Heights Trail

Maryland Heights Trail climbs to the most dramatic overlook of Harpers Ferry, offering commanding views of the historic town and the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. The trail ascends steeply through forest past Civil War fortifications and stone ruins, with several viewpoints along the way. The summit overlook provides a bird’s-eye view of the town nestled between the two rivers, with the Blue Ridge Mountains stretching to the horizon.
