About This Trail
Meadow Creek Mountain Trail climbs from the creek valley to the ridgetop, passing through multiple forest types as elevation increases. The lower portions feature rich cove hardwood forest with large tulip poplars and diverse wildflowers, while higher elevations support oak-hickory forest with scattered pine. Several viewpoints along the ridge offer glimpses of the surrounding mountain landscape. The trail connects with other routes to create loop possibilities and provides access to remote camping areas. This moderate trail offers a representative sample of the forest diversity found in the Cherokee National Forest.
