About This Trail

Walk through 100 acres of 350-year-old hemlock old-growth forest in this 830-acre preserve along the Mianus River, the nation’s first registered Natural History Landmark. Five miles of trails pass Havemeyer Falls, lush fern gullies, and cathedral-like hemlock groves towering over 100 feet.

Getting There

From the Merritt Parkway (Route 15), take Exit 33 north on Den Road. Turn left on Bengall Road, right on Riverbank Road, left on June Road, then left on Guinea Road to Stanwich Road and the preserve entrance.
