About This Trail
This gentle interpretive loop explores the Morning Star Mine area within Rush Historic District, where families can learn about 19th-century zinc mining through informative displays and preserved structures. The short, easy trail makes mining history accessible to visitors of all ages, with the atmospheric ghost town setting bringing the past to life. This is an excellent educational addition to any Buffalo National River visit.
Getting There
From the Rush Historic District parking area, follow signs to the Morning Star Interpretive Loop trailhead. The loop begins near the main Rush parking lot with interpretive panels at the trailhead.
