About This Trail

Short riverside walk along the Sunflower River in Clarksdale, deep in the Mississippi Delta. A planned pedestrian bridge and interpretive signage will connect communities on both sides of the river. Located in the heart of blues country, the trail celebrates Clarksdale’s rich cultural heritage alongside the waterway.

From Clarksdale, take US-49 south to downtown Coahoma County. The Nell G Smith River Walk is accessible from the downtown waterfront area near the Sunflower River.
