About This Trail

Paved sidepath following North Shore Parkway along the Ross Barnett Reservoir and Pelahatchie Bay northeast of Jackson. Connecting neighborhoods, parks, and boat launches, it forms a near-complete bay loop with the Spillway Road and Fannin Landing trails. Scenic reservoir views accompany the flat, family-friendly route.

Getting There

From Jackson, take I-55 south to the Natchez Trace Parkway exit. The North Shore Parkway Multi-Use Trail is located along the Ross Barnett Reservoir shoreline, accessible from Old Fannin Road in Rankin County.
