About This Trail
Oak Mountain State Park is Alabama’s largest state park, featuring over 50 miles of trails. The Red Trail traverses the ridgeline with excellent views and passes Peavine Falls, a 65-foot waterfall that flows after rainfall. The park offers diverse habitats from lakeshores to mountain summits.
Getting There
From Birmingham, AL, take I-65 south to Exit 246. Follow signs to Oak Mountain State Park entrance.
