About This Trail
The Okefenokee Swamp is one of the largest intact freshwater ecosystems in North America, covering over 400,000 acres. Boardwalk trails and observation towers provide access to this blackwater swamp teeming with alligators, wading birds, and carnivorous plants.
Getting There
From Folkston, GA, take GA-121/23 south to the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge entrance at the Suwannee Canal Recreation Area.
