About This Trail
Providence Canyon is known as Georgia's Little Grand Canyon, featuring deep gullies with walls of pink, orange, red, and purple soil. The canyons were formed by poor farming practices in the 1800s but have created a unique and beautiful landscape.
Getting There
From Columbus, GA, take US-27 south to Lumpkin. Follow GA-39C west to Providence Canyon State Outdoor Recreation Area.
