About This Trail

The Old Bridle Path up West Rattlesnake offers one of New Hampshire’s best reward-to-effort ratios, reaching open granite ledges with a stunning panorama of Squam Lake in just 20 to 30 minutes. The well-worn trail is gentle enough for young hikers, with log steps and minimal root obstacles. Extend the outing by continuing to East Rattlesnake for additional lake views.
