About This Trail

This loop trail explores the rolling hills and mixed forests of Homochitto National Forest, crossing Richardson Creek multiple times as it winds through pine and hardwood stands. The terrain provides more elevation change than most Mississippi trails, with the constant stream crossings adding interest and challenge. Wildflowers bloom prolifically in spring, and wildlife from white-tailed deer to wild turkey are frequently observed in this less-visited corner of the national forest.
