About This Trail
Rush was once a booming zinc mining town, and this trail explores the remnants of that industrial past through preserved buildings, mine structures, and the atmospheric ghost town setting. The trail follows old mining levels carved into the hillside, passing ore processing ruins and pioneer-era structures. Interpretive materials explain the town’s rise and fall, creating a fascinating outdoor history lesson.
Getting There
From Yellville, take AR-14 east approximately 15 miles. Turn south at the Rush Historic District sign and follow the gravel road 2 miles to the Rush parking area. The trail system begins at the historic district entrance.
