About This Trail
Sandstone Falls is the largest waterfall on the New River, spanning nearly 1,500 feet across the river and dropping about 25 feet. The broad cascade is impressive for its sheer scale rather than height. A boardwalk trail provides easy access to multiple viewing platforms, making this one of the most accessible natural attractions in southern West Virginia.
Getting There
From Hinton, WV, take WV-20 north approximately 8 miles. Turn right at the Sandstone Falls sign and follow to the parking area.
